That Song 03:26
huddled 'round the drowsy coals flames will melt our treads navigate our truths of gold canopy misread somewhere else we found a way kept the years ahead blurred together yesterdays came to life instead we won't need to play that song like we way back said driving home it's loud and clear blaring in my head

about

in april 2016, we rented a small house in Kalkaska, next door to a concrete statue garden, for a long weekend of songwriting.
by the time we left, we had recorded music for 3 full songs and a couple of sketches.
this music sat on the shelf until 2019, when we decided to complete the mixes and write/record vocal parts that felt like a recollection of that weekend, in the context of the years that had since passed.
these 5 tracks are a snapshot of that long dreamt-of getaway, viewed through 3 years of nostalgia, and nearly 14 years of creating music together.
